FOR-GIVE is nicknamed the GOGI “safety” Tool. This Tool encourages you to get a safe distance from harm so you can show up as the best version of you. With a safe distance from harm, you are able to give your best to the world. When precariously positioned too close to harm, its difficult to help others. They key words are “For me to Give, I must be safe from harm.”

This week, you can consider where you are placing yourself too close to danger. Toxic people? Triggers? Harmful people, places and things? Getting too close is  not only harmful to you, but it denies others the best you have to offer. Use your safety Tool For-Give, and show up as a solution for the problems you observe around you.

FOR-GIVE is Not Forgive

FOR–GIVE, as a GOGI Tool, states that it is not
enough to say or hear the words “I am sorry.” There must be safety from further harm for the Tool FOR–GIVE to work properly. FOR–GIVE requires distance, protection, and the positive choices which lead to freedom. This does not mean you do not feel remorse or trauma for what happened, but it does mean that you do not need to relive the past over and over again. — Excerpt from page 104 of The GOGI Way To PowerUp!
